New country appearing in the world!! Early, '08 we had Kosovo pop up in the former Yugoslavia, now we have the Nation of South Sudan. Many issues are immediately given to the new country
1. Most of the oil (a large part of all Sudanese Economics) is Sudan is in Southern Sudan. There was an agreement before stating that the North got 50% of the income and the South got 50%. Even though the South is the place where the oil is. The question with this issue is: Will South Sudan keep this agreement? If they do, they might be saving themselves from its nation's first war. If they don't they might just start their nation's first war. With North Sudan.
2. South Sudan will be one of the poorest countries in the world. And that's saying something considering the other African nations. South Sudan is also not in a geographical location for much improvement without a great deal of capital. The question: Will the government of South Sudan be wise and efficient and start the nation off great? Keep it with no improvements that aren't checked by degradements? Or Send the country worse than it already is? Keep your eyes on that.
3. Religious Tensity: North and South Sudan split, mainly because South Sudan is Christian and North Sudan is Muslim. Many other countries surrounding Sudan are Muslim as well. The Question: Will South Sudan find itself in a religious war against North Sudan or another Muslim country...or both?
The Back Cover of a book is where, usually, the author puts what people said about his book. This blog is where things about this big ol' world are put. This is the World's Back Cover. " You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me. " C. S. Lewis
