Society has progressively gone downhill as to how we think. We don't think about what matters anymore. In financial, political, religious, domestic, and really anything anymore do average people think hard enough about what they are doing. When some sucker is offered a "too good to be true" kind of deal (scam) they don't stop to think that maybe it is. When people are voting (if they even vote (which in itself is thoughtlessness)) many these days don't stop to think about policies or what the candidates will do for the country, they just go with whoever has the funnier name or who looks the best. It is a little saddening to watch the people around you ruin themselves and others by thoughtlessness.
So lets stick with the old adage "Think before you leap".
The Back Cover of a book is where, usually, the author puts what people said about his book. This blog is where things about this big ol' world are put. This is the World's Back Cover. " You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me. " C. S. Lewis

I agree...Everything just seems to be going downhill in the world:P
ReplyDeleteI agree for the most part. I think you made too much of a generalization with the voting, but I get your overall point.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Is it grammatically possible for the double parentheses like that???
I disagree. There has been very little to provide change over the past hundred years. Every culture and society had problems, and ours is no different. In fact, I would argue that every society has been faced with the problems that you specifically mentioned.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right, but with several billion more people on the Earth, Society has a significantly bigger impact on the earth and everyone on it.
